From May 10–13, 2023, the International Poetry Festival "PAGE BREAK" will be held in Jelgava, bringing together internationally known poets from 12 countries, and will be providing the opportunity to those who are interested in gaining a unique experience of modern poesy in person to know the works of internationally renowned and relevant authors in the world of poetry.

This year there will be a special emphasis on Nordic poetry at the festival - Atena Farruhzad from Sweden, Sanna Karlström from Finland, Monika Osprong from Norway, Maja Lee Langvad from Denmark, and Austa Fannej Sighurdatotir from Iceland will all visit Jelgava.

Besides, Miriam Reyes from Spain, Hrykhory Semenchuk from Ukraine, Kadir Aydemir from Turkey, Marko Pogakar from Croatia, Ulrika Almut Zandig from Germany, and poet of Chinese origin Mina Di from the US will also be among the participants in the festival. Latvia will be represented at the festival by three poets - Artis Ostup, Anna Auziņa, and Sergejs Timofejevs.

The festival will start on May 10th with a poetry walk in the meadows of the Lielupe floodplain, followed by free public poetry readings on May 11th and 12th in the Great Hall of Jelgava Culture House. A round table discussion of all festival participants is expected on May 11th, while on May 12th the authors will visit Jelgava secondary schools. The "PAGE BREAK" festival will end on May 13th with a special poetry concert in which all the festival guests will participate, reading their works accompanied by improvised modern jazz music.

As part of the festival, an anthology of the festival's poetry will be published with the works of all authors and their translations into Latvian. This edition will be available free of charge to all interested parties at the festival events.

More information about the festival is available on the website www.pagebreak.lv, as well as on the festival's Facebook site - https://www.facebook.com/pagebreakfestival.

The second International Poetry Festival "PAGE BREAK" is organized in collaboration with the organization "I DID IT", together with the city of Jelgava, supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation, the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Latvia, the Spanish Embassy in Latvia and Printing house "Jelgavas tipogrāfija".
